Arrowhead's Trey Resch wins the Division 1 100 meters in 10.59
LA CROSSE — Trey Resch had won every 100 that mattered this spring. He won the one that mattered most, too.
Trey Resch of Arrowhead won the Division 1 boys' 100 meters in 10.59 at the WIAA State Championships, holding off Kevion Dickerson (10.72). Resch had won the event at his conference meet and sectional, and ran 10.74 in the state prelims before lowering it in the final.
He has been among the state's fastest all season, with a wind-legal 10.53 at the Myrhum Invite in early May. The 10.59 in the final was his best of the championship rounds — the right time to find it.
Arrowhead's Resch is the Division 1 100-meter state champion.
