Boys: a 66-foot shot put

Lake Country Lutheran's Isaac Freeland is the headliner — his 66-4.5 shot put would win the Division 1 final by five feet. McFarland's John Gibson chases a sprint double (10.65 / 21.77), and New Berlin Eisenhower's Javaryn Love leads the 400m (48.79). Monroe's Tre Dammen (1600m, 4:18.25) and Rice Lake's Carter Kucko (3200m, 9:04.54) top the distances. In the field, Winneconne's Hudson Samolinski leads the discus (185-3) and Ashland's Gage Mika the vault (15-03), while Hayward's Lucas Hansen heads the 300 hurdles and Dodge Point's Zayne Cartwright brings a state-class 110.

Girls: Falkowski's range

Kettle Moraine Lutheran's Sydney Falkowski is the seventh-fastest 400m runner in Wisconsin history (54.69) and adds the hurdles for good measure. Hayward's Harper Sheehan doubles in the 100 and 200 (11.98 / 24.33). The distance races are a Bloomer family affair — sisters Ciara and Aliya Hartman go 1-2 in both the 1600m and 3200m. New London's Ayden Smith, sixth all-time in the shot, leads the discus, and Osceola's Elletta Uddin sweeps the hurdles.

The team race

Depth decides the D2 team picture: Bloomer, Pius XI Catholic and Monroe each bring a cluster of top-three marks. Bloomer's distance corps, Pius XI's sprint relays, and Monroe's middle-distance group all carve a path to the podium.
